Phaver Celebrations

To promote engagement and activeness in Phaver by rewarding active users, let’s introduce Phaver Celebrations. The concept is to pick up local and international festivals around the world, Phaver to post the greetings and some festive notes to those who celebrating and handout some phaver points to active contributors (poster) of the community.
Eg,
Handout a “Hongbao” of 500 points to the active members of Chinese community during Lunar new year
Giving a 500 points “Temiyage” during the Ochugen to the active members of Japanese community
Handout a “festive gift” of 500 Phaver points to Indian community during Deepawali
Phaver points as Birthday gift to active users (provided we have dates registered voluntarily during sign up )
This way I believe we can encourage users to be more engaging rather than staking randomly for points.
Budget: these points shall come directly from tokenomics or bought from markets using Marketing budget, points collected from super post or other future burning mechanism or from donations

Decent idea but difficult to implement
- What would be regarded as an active user? Those who wouldn’t get the 500p would be mad.
- If users knew that all Local Communities had celebration bonuses they’d try to game it before the events - more spam in the communities
- Additional point inflation - once Points have $SOCIAL value people won’t be happy for giving out too much without more burns to combat the inflation.
A slightly varied idea we’ve been exploring is in-app purchases to boost communities -> Like Discord Server boosts for Community targets and opening up new features (+badges/NFTs) and Point pools for in-app campaigns or other events like this.

Hi MPB, thanks for your feedback and here are my responses for further brainstorming
- active user: it can be any defined criteria and measurable KPIs. Eg, For community rewards, an active user who regularly post in the said community and consistently receive good support eg, 50 likes. Note, until now LIKES doesn’t have much of the role to play in Phaver yet and this could be one to start with. I would leave this to the Phaver professionals to define the criteria.
- unhappy users: I don’t think this will be a big or new challenge that Phaver team to handle. Not all got to mint free Phaver up. Not all users get level up. I believe the users will work their way up as long as we have the clear and transparent criteria set.
- Spam: again, this not a new challenge for Phaver. Spam eventually dies down when they don’t get the community support and reach say 50 likes.
Things like these will always will be there. We should see them as challenges to overcome and not the showstoppers for the initiatives itself.
- inflation: it not necessarily to be new emissions. As mentioned under budget section, there are many ways to work it out. Phaver may choose to buy it off the market using marketing funds 😁😅 and distribute them as reward which will contribute to price action as well haha 😝
